Week 12: Scott Cleans Up the Scraps

May 17 - [Sorry this was posted so late] Scott cleaned up the scraps in the last week to claim the t-shirt and braggin' rights.

Table 1 Seating: Chris (Ventrue Law Firm 0vp) > Scott (Assamites 1gw 4vp) > Matt (Gangrel get Potence 0vp) > Tracy (Dementated Torries 0vp) > Joe (Weenie Gun Thugs 1vp)

Week Twelve's Winning Deck

Week 11: Miller & Winburn

May 10 - The first time we swelled to two tables for the league. Scott kept the nasty rule again and everyone moaned. The Big question is whether or not Scott can hold off the late surging Chris. The big finale will be at Chris' house Monday night.

Table 1 Seating: Jordan (Torries Block S:CE and Change o' target a lot 0vp) > Chris M (Neo Cons Political deck 1gw 4vp) > Tracy (Fleurdumal Is Demented 0vp) > Joe (I don't have the right crypt 0vp)

Table 2 Seating: Scott (Assamites 0vp) > Matt (Malk S/B 0vp) > Lide (Ventrue Vote/Bleed 1gw 3vp)

Week Eleven's Winning Deck

Week 10: Miller Resorts to Stealth Bleed

May 3 - Chris decided to make a surge and keep Scott from locking up the league last night. The new special rule tonight made this game a labor of lovely blood expending vampires made equally treacherous with the Strained Vitae Supply in play. With all the blood flying around it was no wonder a few Hunters would show up.

Highlights: a) Discarding two masters one of which was a Fame to get rid of a Tension in the Ranks b) Lide discarding two masters to get rid of yet another Tension in the Ranks.

Seating: Chris M (Malk/!Malk Stealth Cheese 1gw 2.5vp) > Lide (Giovanni Baali Mixture 0vp) > Scott (Ravnos 0vp) > Jordan (Tzimisce Block Rotschreck 0.5vp) > Joe (Jake Washington Is a Warghoul b 1.5vp) > Tracy (Fleurdumal Is Demented 0vp)

Week Ten's Winning Deck

Week 9: LSJ Gets 1 Game Win Away from the Title

April 26 - Scott has been on a roll since people stopped breaking non-existant deals with him. There were a few firsts last night, I managed to play Left for Dead for the first time ever, even though it was on a Thuggee cross table and Lide finally managed to play Improvised Tactics in the first round of combat.

Seating: Joe (Jack Washington Is a Warghoul 0vp) > Lide (Anarch Combato 0vp) > Scott (Black Hands 1gw 3vp) > Tracy (Fleurdumal Is Demented 1vp)

Week Nine's Winning Deck

Week 8: LSJ Gets Lucky Again

April 19 - There's a reason why being a super villian doesn't pay, it's 4 caps with a skill card. The latest Prophecy had the direct effect of ousting me from the game thanks to reckless card cyclin' on my part.

Overall, the best comedic moment of the game was the Great Beast rescuing Tommy from torpor across table, "Here ya go little fella."

Side Note: It's come to my attention that player one has gotten the GW in games that had a winner all but twice so far.

Additional stats from LSJ

And in games with no GW, player #1 has tied for 1st place.

In sum: Player #1 has been beaten in VPs only 2 of 8 times (the first two). One of those times, #1 came in second (not counting sweeps). The other, #1 came in last.

In contrast:
#2: beaten 6/8 times (and has come in second once, not counting sweeps).
#3: beaten 7/8 times (the whole-table time-out being the only exception).
#4: beaten 6/8 times
#5: beaten 5/6 times (tied for second twice).
#6: beaten 3/4 times (tied for second once).

Statistics is fun!

Seating: Scott (The Great Beasts 1gw 5vp) > Lide (Nossies Sneak bleed/Punch hard Deck 0vp) > Joe (Samedi Zombies 0vp) > Chris M. (Murder of Crows Bleed Hard 0vp) > Tracy (Gangrel Garou/Gather/Revel 1vp) > Matt (Malk First Strike Coma 0vp)

Week Eight's Winning Deck

Week 7: The Lightning Round

April 12 - This game was too much of a blur. I think Scott lucked out in that the whole table hated my deck pretty quickly. When your prey is trying to oust you, you know your deck is doing something right at least. I guess there's something inherently evil in playing a weenie deck that makes everyone hate you or maybe it was the six card combo they feared.

I really enjoyed playing San Juan after the quick game of V:TES.

Seating: Scott (Tzimisce ani/aus Block and Birds 1gw 4vp) > Chris M. (Tremere tha/cel Deck 0vp) > Joe (Weenie Concealed Saturday Night Specials with DBRs 0vp) > Lide (Ventrue Vote/Bleed 0vp)

Week Seven's Winning Deck

Week 6: Finally A Game Win

April 5 - Lots of combat was outclassed by stealth bleed. Go Figure. Scott's stealth had little trouble running through 3 prey. The highlight of the evening was Scott trying to Call a minion without Dementation.

Seating: Scott (!Malk/Malk Dem/Obf 1gw 4vp) > Tracy (!Toreador's Gun Deck 0vp) > Matt (Gangrel Are Scratchy 0vp) > Joe (!Nos Ani/Pot/Dom 0vp)

Week Six's Winning Deck

Week 5: Another Moment of Slowness After Early Ousts

March 29 - The heaviest combat environment seen in recent decades happened Monday night with no true winners but a couple of losers. If your combat wasn't up to snuff you were in torpor and facing some sort of final destruction.

Next week's game promises to be a battle royale based on the two prophecies this week.

Seating: Lide (Guns and Roses Vote 1.5vp) > Tracy (Toreador's Die Fast 0vp) > Chris M.(Brujah/!Brujah Bleed and Gate You 0.5vp) > Scott (Baali Great Beast Rainbow Combat 1.5vp) > Joe (!Nos Ani/Pot/Dom 0vp)

No winning Deck this week.

Week 4: Quick 3 VP to Stall

March 22 - Anarch Revolts were responsible for the only three ousts. Unfortunately for Jordan neither of the ousted players were his prey. While the first three players of the six player game were ousted fast, the better half managed to bloat their way to time out the table in an hour an a half of slight ups and downs.

Also, I'm a deal breaker. Apparently saying you only block bleeds on someone else's turn means you've made a deal. I think Scott got his revenge in Ra later though.

Seating: Chris M.(Mini Presence Political 3.5vp 1gw) > Lide (Ventrue Vote 0vp) > Scott (First Strike Coma 0vp) > Joe (Aus/Pro 0vp) > Tracy (Gangrel Garou/Gather/Revel Vote 0.5vp) > Jordan (Anson/Ingrid Rossler Master Bloating 0.5vp)

Week Four's Winning Deck

Week 3: Table Time Out

March 16 - I believe most people showed up with decks thinking Chris would choose one prophecy over the other to stay and those of us that did had a long night in store for us.

The game did have a few highlights: Marcus Vital (adv) Baltimore Purge choosing Muaziz. Rapid Healing. Then Graverobbing Muaziz Seducing Thetmes. Every Baltimore Purge Deck needs an archon.

Of note: Both prophecies affected this game. The new prophecy was a big help in timing this game out.

Seating: Chris M.(Presence Political 0.5vp) > Tracy (Toreador Vote 0.5vp) > Lide (Brujah Bruise Presence Bleed 0.5vp)> Joe (Big Agg Hands Join the Archons 0.5vp) > Jordan (Lasombra Baltimore Purgory 0.5vp)

Week Three did not have a Winning Deck

Week 2: Chris Miller

March 9 - Chris Miller playing a really large vampire crypt won the second night in pretty much a landslide with votes and big bleeds.

For some reason Chris was ever fearful of his Ravnos predator. There was much fear as Miller's pool hovered around 40 all game. I guess you can never be too careful with those dirty gypsies around.

Of note: Both prophecies affected this game. The prophecy that was kept from last week had more of an effect then the new one.

Seating: Joe (Ravnos Are Animals 0.5vp) > Chris M.(Ven/!Ven Political/Bleed 4.5vp 1gw) > Lee (Big Pot/Dom 0vp) > Matt (Gangrel Poke for one 0vp) > Scott (Gangrel Slap you for 5 0vp) > Chris P.(Malks try to learn Dementation 0vp)

Week Two's Winning Deck

Week 1: Jordan Beall

March 1 - Jordan braved afternoon traffic to make it down to Columbia for the first week of our Prophecies league. Only fitting he'd drive all that way to beat us.

The game itself was a fairly brutal 6 player game with 5 of the 6 playing vote type decks. Conservative Agitation in a 6 player game is just plain wrong second turn. My favorite highlight of the game was Howler trying to pass a vote with Awe by spending all of her blood then having the vote delayed by Angelica.

Of note: Only one of the first two prophecies really effected this game.

Seating: Tracy (Ven/Daughters Political 0vp) > Chris (Ven/!Ven Political/Bleed 2vp) > Lide (Ven Political/Bleed 0vp) > Joe (!Malk/Malk Political 1vp) > Scott (Ahrimanes Political 0vp) > Jordan (Lasombra Block 3vp + 1gw)
